  • If you have submitted an IDR application through our website or studentaid.gov, please note that we will place your account in a forbearance to pause billing until your application has been processed.

SAVE PLAN

  • The REPAYE Plan has been replaced by the Saving on a Valuable Education plan. If you were previously in the REPAYE plan, you will automatically be enrolled in the SAVE plan and your payment recalculated. No action is required! If you would like to enroll or get more information about the SAVE Plan and what your estimated monthly payment might be, please click here to get started.

Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Update

  • The U.S. Department of Education (ED) announced a plan for permanent improvements to the PSLF program and a one-time payment count adjustment to bring borrowers closer to forgiveness.
  • In 2024, ED will automatically apply an adjustment to Income-Driven Repayment (IDR) and PSLF payment counts to address historic inaccuracies and servicing practices. Borrowers with Federal Family Education Loan Program (FFELP) loans who consolidate into the Direct Loan program before the end of the year will also get PSLF credit under the account adjustment.
  • To learn more, please access StudentAid.gov.
  • Due to recent changes in the PSLF program, you can now buy back certain months in your payment history to make them qualifying payments for PSLF. Specifically, you can buy back months that do not count as qualifying payments because you were in an ineligible deferment or forbearance status. For more information, please visit StudentAid.gov/pslfbuyback.
