It is designed to help you better understand and manage repayment of your federal student loans owned by the U.S. Department of Education. This privacy policy explains what information we collect through the Site and how we use and share that information. Please read it before you access and use the Site.

Information we collect

To protect your communications through the Site, we utilize various authentication, monitoring, auditing, and encryption measures. By accessing and using this Site, you consent to monitoring and auditing regarding your activity. We also use secure servers for transmissions of information. You can tell if a website is secure by looking at the location (URL) field. A secure server will have a URL beginning with https:// instead of http://. Transmitting information using secure servers offers greater protection against unauthorized persons reading or deciphering your personal information.

The California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended (“CCPA”) applies to commercial businesses and requires them to provide specific privacy disclosures and rights for residents of California, unless certain exceptions apply.
Aidvantage is a service provider that collects and processes data on behalf of Federal Student Aid (FSA) and the Department of Education (DOE) to service your student loans. The personal data we collect and process for FSA and DOE is subject to certain federal laws, including the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA) and the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA).
Accordingly, Aidvantage’s collection and processing of your information, on behalf of FSA and DOE, is not subject to the CCPA.
Shine the Light
California Civil Code Section 1798.83 allows California residents to request certain information about its disclosure of personally identifiable information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. To make such a request, contact us at the address listed in How to contact us.
Vermont residents
